2. the person needs to use spf 30-50-100 cream daily and top up as necessary, forgo substances in cosmetics that can irritate the skin/photosensitise in favour of substances that will further boost the spf effect.
 
(3) An absolute condition is the prohibition of sunbathing and excessive exposure to the sun for the inflammatory period (2 weeks). A hat and sunglasses may be helpful.
 
It's not that the sun causes hyperpigmentation it's the abnormal response of our systems that causes it, combined with the radiation and the overuse of it that causes burning. Let's enjoy the lighter treatments and the stronger ones all year round, but only after following these rules.
