What results can I expect from a volumetric procedure?

Volumetrics, or the filling of selected areas on the face with hyaluronic acid.

It aims to:

–reconstruction of facial defects (caused by age)

-filling of wrinkles (nasolabial furrows or marionette lines)

-changing the proportions of the face (slimming, building up the cheeks, lengthening the chin, youthful shape)

Aesthetic medicine is a branch of medicine concerned with improving the attractiveness of women and men through preventive and restorative measures.

How not to overdo it and take a healthy approach to treatments? They carry risks, whether of addiction, mutilation or a worse appearance.

The most important thing is to choose a skilled practitioner who will be guided by the patient's best interests, able to advise treatments that improve, not alter the appearance, and able to manage possible complications.

However, before we go for a treatment or consultation, let's consider what is really bothering us about our appearance and whether improving this will make us feel better.

Spring and summer treatments - can stronger remodelling treatments be performed ?

Of course! We are only moving away from heavily exfoliating skin treatments.

We need to remember a few rules:

1 The person who wants to undergo the treatment must be well qualified in terms of diseases, skin type, medications taken (hormones, antibiotics, steroids, etc), supplements (especially herbs). For most people, these can be contraindications.

2. the person needs to use spf 30-50-100 cream daily and top up as necessary, forgo substances in cosmetics that can irritate the skin/photosensitise in favour of substances that will further boost the spf effect.

(3) An absolute condition is the prohibition of sunbathing and excessive exposure to the sun for the inflammatory period (2 weeks). A hat and sunglasses may be helpful.

It's not that the sun causes hyperpigmentation it's the abnormal response of our systems that causes it, combined with the radiation and the overuse of it that causes burning. Let's enjoy the lighter treatments and the stronger ones all year round, but only after following these rules.
